Natalle Woolfolk (pictured below)
I had the opportunity to eat lunch yesterday with two Olympians!!!
Natalle Woolfolk and Casey Burgener, two awesome people.
The reason why I posted the picture above is for inspiration.
Not only for each of you, but also for myself.
Natalle weighs 135lbs and can clean and jerk 275 lbs,
are you fuc$%ing kidding me!!!!!!!!
I asked her how the hell she can accomplish such a task and the
answer was simple: Technique! Technique! Technique!!!
Work on this guys!
Come to me for more help if you need it please.
Casey is a badass too, I would put his numbers up but don't want
to discourage all of you from ever lifting another weight again.
On the subject of nutrition, this is an amazing video!!!

It helps explain the obesity epidemic we face... It is very very long so if you are not a dorky academic person like me (its a UCSF lecture), I'll summarize it for you:
Fructose is a POISON and it has found its way into nearly EVERY processed food. Why... Its incredibly cheap and extra sweet (2x sweeter than glucose). It is mostly found in High Fructose Corn Syrup. Each American consumes 141 pounds of sugar/year. Sodas are high in caffeine (makes you pee water) and sodium (makes you even more thirsty to drink more soda). They mask the bad taste with Fructose! Messed up stuff! Gatorade used to taste like ass! But when Pepsi bought it in 1992, they added HFCS! Now it makes kids fat. Juice is just as bad for you.
What about the war on fat?... The 1970's fight against fat in the diet helped fuel the epidemic. It isn't fat that you eat that give you "bad" cholesteral, its the amount of carbohydrate (leads to high tri-glycerides). Processed foods take out fat (resulted in loss of taste) and add more fructose to make it taste damn good and to add calories.
Fiber?... 300 years ago people consumed 100-300g of fiber a day. Today, we eat an average of 12g. Takes too long to cook and eat and bad shelf life. Fast food = fiberless food.
Back to Fructose: Does not suppress the hunger hormone, so you eat more. It is as poisonous to the liver as alcohol (metabolized in the same way). Diabetes, obesity, hypertension, heart problems, etc... are directly correlated to fructose intake. Fructose sugar is just as bad for the liver/body as alcohol
Long story short: EAT REAL FOOD, high in fiber and drink water. Glucose is the carbohydrate we want, because it has a very natural reaction in the body. Fructose is found in nature, but in extremely fiber-rich foods. We process them to get rid of the fiber (very unnatural way to absorb it). Exercise alone does not cancel out what you eat.
