The New Location should now be ready on Tuesday, sorry for the delay.

Please keep in mind that we no longer have a 9:30am class and will only be holding 1 class on Monday at 12:00pm

Today Jaime, Sal and I got a refresher course on our AED and CPR certifications. At the "Old Location" we still have an AED it is located in my office. At the "new location" the AED will be extremely visible and you will have clear access to it in case of an emergency. So today we got our refresher course, thought I can refresh your memory as well. CPR changes every now and then in terms of how many breaths to pumps and things of that nature, this is the most current info.

Ok here is a simply crash course.

If there is no AED present, complete the following sequence until help arrives or until you are unable to perform the task anymore (you can also switch people to pump if they are around every 2 minutes).

If there is an AED present (such as at our gym) and there are other people around we would want to follow this procedure.

Person A would immediately start the steps above (excluding calling 911)

Person B would immediately go and grab the AED

Person C would immediately go and call 911

If you are alone and have an AED, we would immediately grab it before starting CPR. The AED is extremely easy to use. You would simply hit the start button and follow the directions exactly.

Kind of a bummer of a post but it needs to be said.

I think it is very important that the trainers/instructors from Xfit Santa Clara receive such important life saving courses(especially the WODS you have been posting up lately, you never know)....and having the AED handy at the new or even at the old location is great idea. The AED is a friendly user life saving device. Even I can operate it..hahaha

I know the "ol" saying goes that a picture represents a thousand words but according to this photo shot of Jaime and Sal I'm not sure if they are trying to save lifes or get a "Happy Ending." hahaha.

I'll make sure I dont pass out in front of you guys...hahaha

Today's WOD kicked my butt. I loved it! Can't wait until tomorrow's... I'm gonna kill it!!! Hopefully my shin will hold up???

So what your saying is if I can't breathe for any reason Sal might make out with me? I'm a little worried about this......

But guys, maybe we can get close enough to see/smell/touch with our nose what product Sal is using in his Greek-godlike hair.. a risk that must be taken!

I feel weird. I'm going to take a shower in Windex now.

Gary, Chris, DH and anyone else. If I see a shortness of breathe, I will, I repeat, I will conduct mouth to mouth. The things I do for my country.

*National Anthem echos from a single trumpet as Sal performs his national duty*

Just forget the mouth to mouth.. I'm Just going to have to pass out right next to the AED.. especially during heavy WODs..
